It’s important to recognize that these numbers don’t represent the cultural personal space an individual will have in each of those locales, but instead the square feet of a city divided by the number of people living there -leaving the amount of space per person in the country. That’s why while Beijing, London and Los Angeles are some of the most populated cities in the world, they still have more personal space to offer than Manila and Chennai, which are located on much smaller plots of land.
